For Alopecia:
All inclusive packages:

You will have a consultation where a suitable wig and colour is chosen to suit your taste and skin tone.
The wig will also be cut into a style that you are
confident to wear.

All medical card clients for both chemotherapy and
alopecia are covered for 2 wigs per annum, up to
the value of €320 each.

For Chemotherapy:
All inclusive packages:

You will have a consultation before chemotherapy, where a suitable wig and colour is chosen.
There will be a meeting with you when hair starts to fall and if desired, the hair will be cut or shaved.
The package includes maintenance of the wig during the time that the client wears it.
The wig will also be cut into a style that you are confident to wear.

Health insurance covers the cost of wigs in most cases but you should check with your
insurance company about the type of cover that they provide. You can claim the amount
back at the end of the medical year with your out-patients expenses.
